Pompano Beach's Holiday Season Moves Across Town: A Neighborhood Map of the Fall Calendar

October 22, 2026

Pompano Beach's fall and holiday season doesn't happen in one place. Between Saturday, October 24, and the week before Christmas, the city's events move from Community Park to Old Town, then to the sand south of Fisher Family Pier, then the MLK corridor, then East Atlantic Boulevard, and finally the Intracoastal. Each part of the city gets its own night.

Here's the order, with each event pinned to where it happens.

Date Event Where Time
Sat., Oct. 24 Boo Bash Pompano Community Park, 1801 NE 6th St. 4 to 9 p.m.
Fri., Nov. 6 Old Town Untapped Bailey Contemporary Arts First Friday
Sat., Nov. 7 Drone Show Extravaganza Beach south of Fisher Family Pier 5:30 to 9 p.m., show at 7
Fri., Nov. 13 Music Under the Stars Pompano Beach Great Lawn 7 to 9 p.m.
Fri., Nov. 20 Old Town's Backyard Jam Old Town Pompano Third Friday
Sat., Nov. 28 Light Up MLK Annie Adderly Gillis Park, 601 Dr. M.L.K. Jr. Blvd. 5 to 8 p.m.
Thu., Dec. 3 Yuletide on Atlantic East Atlantic Boulevard Starts 6:30 p.m.
Fri., Dec. 11 Chamber Holiday Boat Parade Intracoastal Waterway See below
Fri., Dec. 18 Music Under the Stars Pompano Beach Great Lawn 7 to 9 p.m.

From week to week, the part of town changes, and that also decides where you'll eat dinner before or after.

October 24, the Season Opens at Community Park

Boo Bash runs Saturday, October 24, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Pompano Community Park, 1801 NE 6th St. It's free and includes carnival rides, hayrides, food, a costume contest and a pie-eating contest, according to Pompano Beach Insider.

Community Park also has something new this year. The city's free 20,000-square-foot skatepark, at 1701 NE 8th St. on the park grounds, was scheduled to open July 22. That makes Boo Bash the first big park event since the skatepark's planned opening.

For breakfast or a late lunch before an afternoon at the park, two recent spots on Federal Highway are worth knowing. Prescott's, at 1308 N. Federal Hwy., serves breakfast early and tapas later in the day. It also has an all-day happy hour and live music. GRUB – A Finer Diner, at 14 N. Federal Hwy., is the newest of the two. Its website currently lists daily hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., so it works for a morning plan but not an evening one. The Sun Sentinel included GRUB on its fall 2026 list of new South Florida restaurants.

The First November Weekend Moves Between Old Town and the Beach

The first weekend of November has two big nights in a row, in different parts of the city.

On Friday, November 6, Old Town Untapped returns to Bailey Contemporary Arts. The city runs it on the first Friday of every month and posts a parking map on its event page. The same night, the Pompano Players, the city's resident professional theater company, open their 2026 to 2027 season. Their run lasts until May 22.

On Saturday, November 7, the action moves to the beach for the fifth Drone Show Extravaganza. Pompano Beach started South Florida's first municipal drone show in 2022, and Pompano Beach Insider reports that this year's show was designed by Firefly Drone Shows. It mixes patriotic tributes for Veterans Day weekend with ocean-themed designs. Here's what to plan around:

  • The beach festivities run from 5:30 to 9 p.m., with a DJ and the Junior's Entertainment Group party band.
  • The show starts at 7 p.m. and lasts about 15 minutes.
  • The pier closes ahead of the show, so the viewing area is the sand south of Fisher Family Pier, at 222 N. Pompano Beach Blvd.
  • On a clear night you can see the drones from up to five miles away.
  • If you'd rather watch from home, the show streams live on the city's YouTube channel, @mypompanobeach, and airs on Comcast Channel 78.

The city posts parking, shuttle and road-closure details on the Parks event page. Since the Untapped crowd in Old Town and the drone show crowd at the beach land on back-to-back nights, check it before Saturday.

Two Fridays in November Point Back to Old Town and the Great Lawn

The middle of November stays in the same rhythm. On Friday, November 13, Music Under the Stars brings the Laura Goodstone Band to the Pompano Beach Great Lawn from 7 to 9 p.m. A week later, on Friday, November 20, Old Town's Backyard Jam Concert Series is back for its regular third-Friday slot.

If you skipped the drone show crowds, these two Fridays are a quieter way into the season, with live music in one spot each night.

Thanksgiving Weekend Belongs to the MLK Corridor

On Saturday, November 28, the season moves to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Light Up MLK runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at Annie Adderly Gillis Park, 601 Dr. M.L.K. Jr. Blvd. It's free. The city's event page lists live performances, food, games, giveaways and a ceremonial lighting. The organizer's Eventbrite listing puts the tree lighting at about 7 p.m. It also promises local food vendors, Santa and family activities.

The corridor gets its own date, separate from the beach and Atlantic Boulevard events that come next.

December 3 Turns East Atlantic Boulevard Into a Parade Route

Yuletide on Atlantic is on Thursday, December 3. It's a weeknight, which is easy to miss when most of the season falls on Fridays and Saturdays. According to the city's event page:

  1. The parade starts at 6:30 p.m. at Riverside Drive.
  2. It heads west on Atlantic Boulevard.
  3. It ends at SE 24th Ave.
  4. The judges' stand, where emcees announce each parade unit and performers do their numbers, is at Harbor Drive and Atlantic Boulevard.

The event runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and is free. The city describes floats, music, treats and a visit from Santa, and it tells families to get there early for a good spot. Float applications are due November 14 if your block, business or group wants to march. The 2026 page doesn't list street closures. Plan your parking and driving around that.

The restaurant scene along East Atlantic is also changing this season. RimLay Seafood is planned for 3428 E. Atlantic Blvd. It's an 80-seat indoor and outdoor restaurant serving New Orleans-style seafood boils with a Thai twist. Owner Tammy Boonlong told What Now Miami that it's targeting a December opening. Farther west, Pho Bar Vietnamese Kitchen is building out 2515 E. Atlantic Blvd. It doesn't have an opening date yet, and an earlier late-summer target has already passed, Pompano Beach Insider reports. Neither should be part of your parade-night plans yet. If RimLay opens on schedule, though, it'll be pouring its first drinks in the same month the parade goes past.

December 11, the Last Big Stop Is on the Water

The 64th Annual Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce Holiday Boat Parade takes the season to the Intracoastal on Friday, December 11. The two official listings don't agree on the time. The Chamber's page says the event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. and that the parade starts at 6 p.m. The city's event listing shows 7 to 9:30 p.m. If you're watching from a seawall or a friend's dock, plan around the earlier time and check again the week of the parade.

The Chamber's official VIP viewing party is at The Cove Waterfront & Tiki Bar, 1754 SE 3rd Ct. in Deerfield Beach, for $100. The Chamber says it will also livestream the parade on Facebook and YouTube. This is the one night where the season's main event reaches past Pompano's city limits, which fits a parade built to run on the water.

A week later, on Friday, December 18, the season ends back on the Great Lawn. Happy Daze plays the final Music Under the Stars of the year, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Gift Runs and What's Still Coming

The season has a shopping side too, and it's up on NE 23rd Street. Nordstrom Rack opened September 17 at 1440 NE 23rd St. in Pompano Citi Centre. The 28,000-square-foot store sells apparel, shoes, beauty and home goods, and it handles online-order services, according to Pompano Beach Insider.

On Federal Highway, Vicky Bakery is planned for 1154 N. Federal Hwy. As of early October its own site said "Baking Soon," with no opening date announced, What Now Miami reported. When it opens, it'll join Prescott's and GRUB on the same stretch of Federal. That would give Federal Highway three places to stop between the beach events and the Old Town ones.

All dates and times here come from published schedules as of this writing. Event organizers sometimes adjust them, so it's worth checking the city's events calendar the week of anything you plan to attend.
